During the month of October, Oak Ridge Mustangs and their families pull out all the stops to decorate pumpkins as creatively as possible. These #StoryPumpkins, as they are called on social media, are decorated to look like literary characters. At Oak Ridge, the pumpkin decorating is a contest, and the students get to vote on their favorites. The contest is especially competitive this year with over 60 pumpkins entered. From Wonder to The Pigeon and Hocus Pocus to Frida Kahlo, the creativity is fierce! Students will vote on the pumpkins this week. Best of luck to all who participated! Check out the pumpkins here!
