The annual Howl Through the Hills 5K was a howling success this year, bringing together students, families, and staff from Oak Ridge and North Palos District 117 for a day filled with energy, smiles, and community spirit!
Participants of all ages laced up their running shoes to take part in this exciting event. From the Kids Dash, where our youngest runners raced with enthusiasm and pride, to the adapted race, which ensured every participant had a chance to shine, the day celebrated inclusivity, teamwork, and perseverance.
Oak Ridge staff members showed their school pride by running, walking, and cheering alongside students and families. The sense of togetherness was felt throughout the course and at the finish line, where laughter, encouragement, and plenty of high-fives filled the air.
Whether participants ran for a personal best or simply to have fun, the Howl Through the Hills 5K showcased the incredible spirit that makes our school special. Thank you to everyone who joined in to make this event a memorable celebration of fitness, friendship, and community! We can't wait to see everyone next year for another howling good time!
