On Thursday, October 1, Oak Ridge hosted its annual Family Read Night. Despite the rainy weather, the turnout was bigger than last year. This year’s theme was “Reading is an adventure that takes you places,” which coincided with our schoolwide theme of “Adventure Awaits.” There were plenty of crafts and games to make and play, along with fun themed raffle baskets to win. Families also got to shop at the book fair and enjoy food from the Taco Nacho food truck. The fun continued after the book fair, as the homerooms who had the most students attend Family Read Night won a luau party with the Oak Ridge reading specialists. Thank you to the staff members who helped make this event possible!
